Environment
Windows 11 workstation with a USB audio interface connected through a hub.
What happens
Recordings contain pops whenever a build or export heavily uses the CPU.
What I have tried
Changed sample rate, buffer size and recording software.
I would appreciate advice on how to identify the root cause without risking existing data or configuration.
Verified community troubleshooting
The important clue is that the problem only appears under the conditions you described.
Likely cause: USB scheduling latency or power saving delays isochronous audio transfers.
What I would try: Connect directly to a different USB controller, disable selective suspend for testing and check DPC latency for a misbehaving driver.
Avoid applying several fixes at once, otherwise it will be difficult to know which one mattered.
